Dona Gaynell Scott
May 8, 1932 – March 21, 2016
Gaynell is survived by four children: Georgiana, Gary, Greg and Douglas; eight grandchildren: Kristine, Dustin, Geoffrey, Jessica S., Joshua, Zander, Zevan, and Jessica D.; and five great-grandchildren: Jacob, Ben, Emily, Giovanna and Gavin.
Gaynell was a loving wife and devoted mother and doting grandmother. She was full of gratitude and kindness. Those in contact with her enjoyed her sharp wit and sense of humor. She was highly intelligent with an inquisitive mind. Gaynell loved animals, was an avid gardener and enjoyed the outdoors, especially snow and palm trees. She was a dress maker, cake decorator, macramé weaver and created lovely ceramics. She was interested in all things political, spy novels and literature. She adored Neil Diamond and was fascinated by Hollywood personalities and fashions.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO.
