Donald Carl Postma
November 8, 1929 – October 20, 2012
Donald Carl Postma of Colorado Springs, Colorado beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2012. He was born in Vale, Oregon to the late Andrew and Clara (Scott) Postma. He was married on September 22, 1953 in Yokohama, Japan to Harue Hokyo. Donald was retired from the United States Army after 20 years of service in 1968 as well as retired from Civil Service in 1995 after 26 years of service at the USAFA.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Harue; parents, Andrew and Clara; and brother, Andrew. He is survived by his daughters, Melinda (Tim) Koehler; Paula (John) Guerrero; sister, Irene Umberger; niece, Veronica (Giles) Spaulding; nephew, Michael (Sue) Knapik; grandchildren, Tiffany (Josh) Copple; Taryn (Brent) Parks; Brandon (Janice) Koehler; Elyssa (Luke) Yousey; Rea Lynn Guerreo; great-grandchildren, Keith Yousey, Taylor Copple, Madison Copple, Noah Copple, Braxton Parks, and Maverick Koehler.
Donald enjoyed traveling, skiing, and spending time with his family.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Shrine of Remembrance.
