Donald G. Taylor
1930 – 2013
Donald “Fritz” Taylor passed away peacefully with his family by his side at his home on July 5, 2013.
He was born to Homer and Tassie (Atnip) Taylor in Dodge City, Kansas. He graduated with a B.S. in Business from Kansas State Teacher’s College of Emporia.
He taught school and coached basketball and football for 4 years. He and his wife moved to Colorado Springs in 1955 where he worked for 55 years as a tax accountant.
In addition to being a wonderful husband and father, he enjoyed watching and attending sports events, especially Bronco football.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Hensel); daughters: Beth Cobb of Arvada, Colorado, Dawn Cheffings of Boise, Idaho, and Jody Engel of Saratoga, California; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Donald was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jana Baker.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at Anchor Way Baptist Church, 3125 Virginia Avenue.
