Donald Gene Inman was born in Davenport, Oklahoma on February 18, 1935. His parents were Alene and Charles E. Inman and he was the oldest of three children.

Don joined the Air Force in 1956 and was a jet mechanic on B-52s and C-130 aircrafts. He married Zelma Knull in 1957. During twenty years in the Air Force, the family lived in Texas, England, New Mexico, North Dakota, Southern and Northern California. He spent one year in Thailand during the Vietnam War, where he earned the Bronze Star. The family retired to Colorado Springs, Colorado. After retiring from the Air Force, Don held numerous jobs, before retiring from the workforce.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Zelma Inman; and sister, Ruth Inman. He is survived by his brother, Charles Inman; his daughter, Donna K. Inman; son, John C. Inman and wife Cindy; three grandchildren: Jody Mire, Audra Hilton, John C. Inman, Jr.; and three great-grandchildren.
