Donald “Don” Hall
Don, was 67 years old. He went to be with our Lord on January 12, 2015.
Don was born on March 25, 1947 to Mary and Theodore Lambert in Barbourville, Kentucky and has lived in Colorado Springs for the last 45 years.
Don was an owner/operator truck driver for over 34 years. He logged over 3 million driving miles.
Don enjoyed fishing, gardening and just being outdoors. His greatest love was woodcarving and woodworking. He looked forward to his annual camping excursions with his only brother, Russell, and his brother in law, Rickie, on the old family farm in Knox County, Kentucky.
Don enjoyed spending time with his many nieces and nephews and teaching them, telling them and demonstrating to them all the things he loved.
Don was a member of the Pikes Peak Park Baptist Church and he loved his church family.
He served two years in the United States Army at Fort Carson, Colorado where he received an honorable discharge.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Cora (Trujillo); one brother, Russell Lambert and wife, Vivian of London, Kentucky; six sisters: Nila Hoffman of Chadron, Nebraska, Phyllis Ohanian of Lincoln Park, Michigan, Lana Stohl and husband John of Salt Lake City, Utah, Linda Gaddie and husband David of Knoxville, Tennessee, Teresa Petty and husband Truman of Plano, Texas, Tammy Floore of Orange, California, Doug Floore of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Don is also being mourned by brothers- and sisters-in-law: Rickie Richmond, Martin Trujillo, Frank Trujillo, Madeline Duran, Dolores Gallegos, Carolina Trimmell, Rebecca Rodriguez and many nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by his mother and father; one sister, Connie Richmond; and precious mother-in-law, Patsy Trujillo.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on January 14, 2015 at the Shrine of Remembrance at 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
A celebration of life will be held on January 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Pikes Peak Park Baptist Church at 3725 El Morro Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
Interment will follow the celebration of life at Evergreen Cemetery.
