Donald Lynn Dukart, age 60, passed away on December 12, 2015. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 23 years. Donald was born on December 18, 1954 to John and Veronica (Kessel) Dukart in Billings, Montana. On December 13, 1976 he married Barbara Hamilton in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

He served in the United States Army for 22 years as a diesel mechanic. He began his Army career with basic training at Ft. Polk, LA and was then stationed at the following locations: Ft. Carson CO, Schofield HI, Ft. Irwin CA, Kitzigen Germany, Aberdeen Proving Grounds MD and finally retiring at Ft. Carson CO. After retiring from the military he continued his career as a diesel mechanic until recently joining the VFW assisting fellow veterans as a service writer.

Don was fond of camping and riding quads throughout the mountains. He also enjoyed his grandchildren and loved spending time with family. He was known for his great sense of humor and sharp wit.

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Barbara; his children: Christina Brubaker, Heidemarie (Michael) Swaim, Donald Kenneth Dukart; his grandchildren: Kailey Love, Aidon, Rosalie; his siblings: Richard (Susan) Dukart, Kenny Dukart, Lolly (Wayne) Dukart, Carole Dukart, Betty Dukart. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
