Doreen Anne (Jergens) Riffe was born March 27, 1957, to Mr. Bernard and Mrs. Donna (Riddle) Jergens in Owatonna, Minnesota. She is preceded in death by both parents.
Doreen was an excellent student and graduated a year early from Owatonna High School. She worked a number of retail positions, and in March of 1978 she married Glen Riffe, who survives her. They moved to Colorado Springs in 1985, where she stayed home to raise their daughter, Katie, then worked at Mark Reynor Stables instructing riding before moving on to veterinary medicine at North Academy Veterinary Hospital, where she was Assistant Office Manager until her retirement due to early onset dementia.
Doreen is survived by her loving family, including her husband, Glen; her daughter, Kathleen (husband Sherif); and her grandson, Hunter. Also part of her loving family are her step-son, Richard (wife Kelli), and their four children and two grandchildren; along with her step-daughter, Jeannie Hoarau (husband Dominique), and their three sons, one daughter, and ten grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Debra Martin, and her daughter and grandchildren of Unadilla, Nebraska.
Doreen was a bright spirit who loved people, animals, and flowers, and made the world a better place for having been a part of it. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
