Doris Josephine Pierce Fuller
Doris Josephine Pierce Fuller died peacefully August 23, 2012, at the age of 98 with her family in attendance.
Doris was born in Shelbina, Missouri, on November 23, 1913. She attended Shelbina High School and graduated with a B.S. degree in Education from Truman State University in the class of 1935. Doris was married to Arthur Herbert Fuller, D.O., F.A.C.O.S., on September 14, 1936. She moved to Colorado Springs with her husband and children in 1964.
Doris was a strong advocate of her husband’s Osteopathic profession, professional women, and seniors. As such, she served in both leadership and supportive roles in the Osteopathic Women’s Guild, Women’s Club, Acacia, and A.A.R.P.
She is survived by her children: Johnna Fuller McGinnis who resides in Orlando, Florida; her son, Charles Herbert Fuller from Erie, Colorado; her beloved daughter-in-law, Gloria Christianson Fuller; her four granddaughters; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; sister, Dorothy Pierce Michaels; father, James Pierce; and mother, Ruby Garrison Pierce.
A private viewing and celebration of life memorial will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum.
