Doris Lorraine Robinson (nee McNamara) age 87, passed away on September 3, 2014. She resided in Colorado Springs for the past 43 years.

Doris was born May 15, 1927 to Floyd and Jessie McNamara in Colorado Springs. On April 12, 1944 she married James Robinson in Pueblo, Colorado.

Doris is survived by her daughters, Linda Lakner (Michael) and Carol Chapman (Mark). She is also survived by six grandchildren: Kevin, Kyle and Kurt Robinson, Christine Mann, Melissa Kirz and Joseph Lakner; and five great-grandchildren: Trenten, Logen, Gaven, Jakob and Sadie. She leaves two sisters, Patricia King and Susan Denney.

Doris dedicated her life to being a compassionate “big sis” to her brothers and sisters. She was a devoted wife for over seventy years and a loving mother who always encouraged her children and grandchildren to strive for their highest goals. She was a homemaker, our family’s very own “Martha Stewart”. She enjoyed landscaping her gardens, experimenting with new recipes and entertaining her family with holiday dinners. She spent hours crocheting, reading and watching the Rockies.
