Douglas A. Moas
October 22, 1933 – July 24, 2018

Douglas A. Moas, passed away on July 24, 2018. He moved to Colorado Springs in 1979 after retiring from the USAF at the grade of Chief Master Sergeant.

Doug was born on October 22, 1933 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Arnold Moas and Dorothy LaMont Moas. He married Elizabeth Couch on November 22, 1957.

Doug was passionate about his country, family and the Green Bay Packers. He served faithfully in the United States Air Force for over 28 years, obtaining the grade of CMSgt. A wartime veteran, he served during the Vietnam, Korean and Cold War conflicts. During his Air Force career he had many assignments across the United States and Southeast Asia. He earned many medals and accommodations including: Meritorious Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation, United Nations Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and Republic of Korea War Service Medal.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth; his children: Kim (Warren) Dalley, Becky (Dave) Rutkiewic and Renee Lewis; grandchildren: Tiffaney (Tony) Solerno, Stephanie (Chad) Pfeif, Kasey (Casey) Kowchuck, and Brooke Lewis; great-grandchildren: Luke Smith, Jenny Smith, Harper Pfeif and Taylor Solerno.

A memorial service will be held at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO, at 2pm on Saturday, July 28, 2018.
