Douglas C. Brill
Douglas C. Brill, age 52, a resident of Coaldale, Colorado passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at a Colorado Springs hospital after a long illness. He was a loving husband, father, brother, horseman, uncle, and friend.
Douglas Charles Brill was born on August 23, 1961 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to the late Richard C. and Barbara (Adamson) Brill. During his childhood he was active in the Westernaires. He was a 1979 graduate of Golden High School in Golden, Colorado. He was a former member of the Howard Volunteer Fire Department and the Cotopaxi Community Church. He was also affiliated with the Mountain Valley Community Church. Doug loved his family, children, and horses. He married Cathie T. Lenderink on January 21, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Cathie survives and lives in Coaldale.
He is also survived by his loving daughter, Cassandra Brill, of Coaldale; and his two step-sons: Ryan (wife Tara) DeGraw of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Kyle Hensley of Westminster, Colorado.
He is also survived by his brother, DeWayne (wife Lori) Brill of Lakewood, Colorado and his sister, Terri (husband Dixon) Barta of Arvada, Colorado.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Howard Fire Department in Howard, Colorado.
Memorials in his name may be made to the Cotopaxi Community Church.

I’ll be following your path here soon, setting out for the wild and open lands, getting away from this awful city that took you and everyone else away…. and I’ll be looking for something similar to the beautiful ranch your found in Salida.
