Eddie Dean Gray, Jr., age 36, passed away, March 27, 2023, in his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for six years after living in Poway, California for most of his life. Eddie worked as a retail merchandiser for Costco for over 14 years.
Eddie was born in Walsenburg, Colorado, on April 13, 1986, to Eddie Dean Gray, Sr., and Wendi (Chavez) Gray. He lived in Colorado until the age of two when he moved to California.
Eddie was known for all of the gadgets he purchased, with packages arriving from Amazon nearly every day. This made it difficult for family to buy him gifts because he had everything. Eddie enjoyed fishing and working out in his home gym. What made him most happy was spending time with his faithful companion, Cadence. He also enjoyed spoiling his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Eddie attended Poway High School and played football throughout high school. He also played one season for the San Diego Thunder; a semi-pro football team based out of San Diego California. Eddie graduated Poway High School in 2004.
Eddie is survived by his parents, Eddie and Wendi Gray; his siblings, Brandi Kandis (Tim Scott) Gray, Buck Henry Gray, Wyatt William (Nicola) Gray, Austin Garrett Gray, and Arliss Gabriel Gray; his grandparents, Charles and Mary Chavez, Troy and Alaisa Gray; and his nieces and nephews, Eli Melara, Bria Gray, Leia Scott, Levi Gray and Lilly Gray.
Visitation, 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Monday, April 3, 2023, Shrine of Remembrance Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
Memorial Contributions in Eddie’s name may be made to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (https://www.hsppr.org).
