Edna Pauline “Dot” Fogle
Dot, age 95, passed away on August 29th. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 61 years and was formerly from Waynoka, Oklahoma.
Dot was born on October 10, 1921 to Thomas Leo Bolar and Martha (Thornton) Bolar in Waynoka. On October 8, 1941 she married Arvie Lee Fogle in Alva, Oklahoma.
Dot enjoyed taking care of her family and gardening. She also enjoyed crocheting and was a skilled seamstress. She loved reminiscing and telling stories of her childhood and young adulthood. Her detailed and colorful accounts captured the feeling and times of the Dust Bowl, the Great Depression and World War II.
She is survived by her son, Arvie, and his daughters, Tammy and Renee; granddaughters: Deana and Leigh; her great-grandchildren: Megan, Josh, Nicles, Sam and Tanner; and great-great-grandchildren: Rhylee, Mirabelle and Karter; and her dog, Bella. She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Anita; two brothers; and a sister.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 7th at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs. A reception follows the service at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard.
