12 Oct 2020Edna was a cousin of mine and my God mother. I have many wonderful memories of her and her husband, who we called Uncle Chris and also my cousins Terry, Chris & Nick. We all share memories of our grand & great-grand parents and the old green swing on the porch in Calhan . We share memories of what we all called the farm, where I grew up, the house was built by our great/great grandfather and is still in the family today.
She was a generous, loving person , she and my dad ( who passed in 2011)were very close and she will be missed greatly! I feel honored to have had her in my life. May God grant you (my cousins) many more wonderful memories than I have that can never be taken from you.

14 Oct 2020Edna had such a sweet spirit. No matter what she faced in life she had a way of making everyone feel that she was just fine and everything was going to be just fine. Her picture here shows the ‘smile lines” around her eyes that were permanently there, for as long as I can remember. She was my cousin, but seemed more like an Aunt because her children were all around my age. Even when she would “correct” her children (and by association my sister and myself) she always had a twinkle in her eye that made us think she wasn’t really all that mad! I will miss her so very much. Some of her last thoughts were of those less fortunate. She wanted some of her “things” to go to the Food Pantry out here in Calhan. My condolences go to Terry, Chris and Nick and their families. She was so proud of her grandchildren. She showed off their pictures on her computer and loved to tell of their accomplishments! She was grateful she could still see those pictures. Although we miss her, she is an example of a life well lived.
