Edward James Cimino, lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, died unexpectedly in his home on September 14, 2016 at the age of 52.
Edward is survived by his father, Michael Cimino; his wife, Cheryl (DeBoer), his beloved “red headed step-children” ,
Kristine Ekle and Ryan Ekle, both of Colorado Springs; his daughter-in-law, Schona (Schlaht); grandchildren, Leora Lee and Xzander Thomas; his brother, Lawrence; and his
grandmother, Milo Cimino. He is predeceased by his mother Janice Cimino.
Edward was a devoted husband, brother, step-father,
grandfather, grandson, uncle, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, spending time at the zoo with “his” wolves and watching his Denver Broncos. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Ed at Antlers Park, 31 West Pikes Peak Ave Colorado Springs 80903, under the Pavilion, on Saturday September 24 from 11am-2pm.
Family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Ed’s name to the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, P.O. Box 713, Divide, Colorado 80814.
