Edward L. Kelly, age 81, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at his home. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 40 years.
Edward Leo Kelly was born on August 17, 1931 in Niagara Falls, New York to the late Ray and Cecile (Roth) Kelly. He served our country for over 20 years in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran.
He was very active with the Sertoma Club and served as President for two clubs. He volunteered with the El Paso County Sheriff’s office, was a former President of Christmas Unlimited, and was a former Grand Knight with the Non-commissioned Officers Association.
Edward is survived by his loving wife, Ramona; four sons: Grant (wife, Brenda) Kelly, Gary (wife, Connie) Kelly, Gregory Kelly, and Mark Strickland; his daughter: Elise (husband, Stephen) Slack; and his sister, Nancy Havilland of Niagara Falls, New York. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Joann and Mary Jane.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Private entombment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Garden of Angels.
