Edwin E. Price
November 26, 1941 – January 8, 2016

Ed passed away last Friday after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Even as God was calling him home he maintained his wonderful sense of humor and glorious smile. Marcia, his wife of 44 years, was at his side holding his hand.

Ed was born into a military family and continued the tradition by serving 21 years in the US Air Force. His father, John, and mother, Marge, settled in Tacoma, Washington, which Ed considered home until he met Marcia. He is also survived by a sister, Linda Chappell and a brother, Cliff Price, both of Puyallup, Washington.

Marcia, up to the very last day always reminded Ed that she picked their wedding date as 7/17/71 so he would not/could not forget it. They were one of the few NCO couples to be married at the US Air Force Academy, Protestant Chapel. Although Ed and Marcia were not blessed with children, they had several four footed doggie kids, the most current being a crazy goldendoodle lovingly called Jethro.

They loved to take trips through the mountains, usually ending up in Cripple Creek. However, Ed’s biggest passion was Christmas. He collected everything from stuffed animals to porcelain village houses. Each year they enjoyed sharing their hobby with friends and family. Ed was an attendee at Village Seven Presbyterian Church and a lifetime member of the Elk’s Lodge #309.

Visitation will be at 1 PM and services at 2 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Shrine of Remembrance. Entombment with full military honors will follow.

Memorials in Edwin’s name may be made to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
