Eileen P. Lett of Colorado Springs, CO passed away on July 6, 2017. Eileen was born on January 31, 1951 to George and Grace Traynor (both deceased) in Spring Valley, Wisconsin. After High School and College, Eileen went on to further her career by joining the U.S. Army in 1973. Eileen gave 20 years of service to her country, working her way up from 2nd Lieutenant to Lieutenant Colonel.
Eileen and her loving husband of 35 years, Sgt. Major Ronald H. Lett (deceased), enjoyed Army life, living stateside and abroad, finally retiring in Colorado Springs in 1992. Eileen was very active, making a family of friends with her neighborhood, church, gym, and dance friends. She led a deeply, faith-filled life and showed it by her many acts of kindness, help, and deep friendship she developed over the years with everyone she got to know.
Eileen is survived by her 5 sisters: Ramona Sutherland of S. St. Paul, Minnesota, Mother Mary Traynor of Assisi, Italy, Jane (Richard) Seifert of Marshfield, Wisconsin, Susan (Michael) Drewiske of Bozeman, Montana, and Beth (Robert) Steiger of Granger, Iowa; three loving nephews, 1st Lieutenant Andrew (Elizabeth) Drewiske of Boise, Idaho, Captain Steven Drewiske of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Christopher (Lindsey) Drewiske of Lander, Wyoming; and great nieces and nephews. Preceding Eileen in death were her husband, Ronald H. Lett and parents, George and Grace Traynor.
Family and friends are welcome to attend visitation Sunday, July 23, 4:30-6:30 p.m., with rosary at 6:00. Catholic service along with military honors will be held on Monday, July 24, at 10:00 a.m. Both services held at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. Interment will follow at 2:15 pm, Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Sepsis Alliance or St. Michael the Archangel Community Center Chapel.
