Elizabeth Ann Cauthen died on November 17, 2022, at St. Francis Hospital. She was born September 19, 1940, in Colorado Springs, Colorado and is the daughter of Bernard K. and Azzeltine Tyler.
Elizabeth graduated from Colorado Springs High School, Class of 1958. Following graduation, she married James W. Cauthen Sr. and worked for several local companies, eventually retiring from Mountain Bell (QWEST). Elizabeth was an accomplished pianist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Lorna Hansford; and sisters, Bernadine Copeland Tanner, and Michelle Tyler Sharpe.
Surviving are her sons, James W. Cauthen Jr., Mark G. Cauthen and his wife Angelika I. Cauthen; daughter, Summer P. Cauthen; and family member, Marie Antoinette, mother of Gia Forbes and Martine Cauthen; and five grandchildren, Thomas Hansford, Gia Forbes, Martine Cauthen, Tasia Cauthen and Trystan Elep; three sisters, Lelia Mae Pennington, Yolanda Dulaney and Karren Tyler Pruitt; three brothers, Bernard Tyler, Leonard Tyler and Michael Tyler; and many nieces and nephews.
Arriving Home Celebration will be held 10 am, Friday, Dec 9 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado.
