Elizabeth Ellen Yates was born August 4th, 1949 in Colorado
Springs to Ralph James Griebel & Hazel Dent Evancich. She passed away November 30, 2020 at Penrose Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband John Yates, long time partner Bill Willie, brother Mike Griebel and sister Nancy Pollart.
She is survived by her brothers Jerry Griebel and wife Linda, Andy Griebel and wife Bobbie, Dave Griebel and wife Alice, numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends.
She graduated from Palmer High School. She married John Yates in Colorado Springs and together they lived in many places including Salt Lake City, UT, St. Louis, MO, & Las Vegas, NV before returning to live in Colorado Springs.
She worked for many years as a draftsman in landscape design.
She and Bill were involved in the Palmer High School Alumni Association, volunteered many years for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb and the Colorado Springs Balloon Classic. They loved to travel and visited many beautiful places and had great trips in their motor home, especially going to NASCAR races in Las Vegas.
Beth was an outgoing and friendly person who loved spending time with her friends and family. She was a very talented artist and enjoyed working in many different mediums.
Services will be postponed to a later date due to COVID.
