Elizabeth F. Hunt
Elizabeth F. Hunt, age 75, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1940, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012 at a local care center. She had retired after working many years in Colorado Springs District 11 Food Services.
Elizabeth Florence Ramsey was born on August 19, 1936 in Pueblo, Colorado. She was a 1955 graduate of Colorado Springs High School.
She was an active member of East United Methodist Church where, for many years, she hosted the coffee hour and volunteered in the nursery and the “Love Club” caring for children. She was a charter member of the CSHS/Palmer Alumni Association and was active with their social committee and coordinated alumni and senior brunches. She also was responsible for the lighting for the Alumni Association floats in the Parade of Lights.
She is survived by her sister, Gloria Randol; her brother, Jim Davis; her granddaughter, Amanda Moberly; and her grandson, A.J. Moberly. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Moberly; her brother, Calvin Ramsey; and her parents: Allen James Ramsey; and Allen F. and Alice Gertrude (Wright) Davis.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at East United Methodist Church, 1505 East Monument Street. A reception will follow the services at the church.
