Elizabeth Martinez, age 87, passed away on June 7, 2017. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 55 years. Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother and dear friend to many.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Eduvijen and Tiodosa Quintana; husband, Manuel B. Martinez, Jr.; daughters, Roberta Martinez and Diane Martinez; and brother, Benjamin G. Quintana.
She is survived by her loving children: Brian Martinez, Eduvijen and Barbara Martinez, Eugene Dennis and Elaine Martinez, Wanda Jane Martinez, and Jackie and Dino Spice. Elizabeth was blessed with 20 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren who will continue to live on in her memory and profound unconditional love and faith in our Lord God.
A visitation will be held Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm with a Rosary to follow at 6:00pm at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Boulevard. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel.
A celebration of life will follow the Sunday service with the location to be announced after the funeral service.
