Elizabeth Pepin
August 7, 1919 – January 9, 2012
Elizabeth Pepin, age 92, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1947, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2012 at her home after a long battle with Leukemia. She had retired from School District 11 and was a secretary for Stratton Elementary School and Wilson Elementary School. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.
Elizabeth Anne Neal was born on August 7, 1919 in Alcona Township, Kansas to the late Eri W. and Anna E. (Benda) Neal. She was a 1937 graduate of the Dolores High School of Dolores, Colorado and she attended Fort Lewis College in Durango where she met and later married Albert C. Pepin on March 10, 1941.
Beth loved the Colorado Rockies baseball team, needlework, reading, story telling, and in her earlier years, fishing. She will be best remembered for her caring personality.
She is survived by her sons: Donald (wife, Gail) Pepin and Robert Pepin; and two grandchildren: Neal (wife, Rachel) Pepin and Kyle (wife, Jacki) Pepin, all of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by her four great grandchildren: Elisabeth, Thomas, Lauren, and Luke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; two brothers: Donald Neal and Bob Neal; her sister: Dortha Hover; and a host of friends.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Entombment will follow at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Garden of Angels.
