
Else Reyes passed away on March 10, 2025 just short of her 95th birthday. She lived in and loved Colorado Springs for 65 years. But her homeland was Germany.
Else was born May 3,1930 to August and Anna (Ohl) Kruck in Bergen Enkheim, Germany. She married her one and only love Rudolph Cipriano Reyes in Heidelberg, Germany and had a beautiful life together for over 50 years.
Else loved life. She never took it for granted and often expressed how blessed she was with all the gifts she had been given in this world. She took pride in her family, home and friendships. She loved planting flowers and was known to be the ‘flower lady’ at her residence because of her beautiful garden. She was kind and loved by everyone who knew her. She was a wonderful wife, mother and deeply loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild. She will be missed by so many and never forgotten.
She is survived by her two daughters Linda Thompson and Tammy Shearer; her sons-in-law Tracy Thompson and Duke Shearer; her grandchildren Aimee Collins, Adam Shearer and Zachary Shearer and their spouses Gregg, Kelsey and Renae; her great grandchildren Haley Collins, Dawson Shearer, Adaline Shearer, Jordyn Shearer, Jace Shearer and Easton Shearer; and great great grandchild Luna Isabella Collins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rudy Reyes, brothers William, Karl, and Ludwig Kruck and sister Katha Cubello.
A memorial service will be held at 10am March 28th at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E Fountain Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
