Elvira A. O. Kalnis was born in Cesis, Latvia on December 26, 1914 and passed away peacefully in her home on July 22, 2014. Elvira married Adolpfs Pencis in 1934 and remained a homemaker while the two raised five sons. In 1950, the family fled Latvia and immigrated to the United States.
Elvira is survived by two sons: Sigurds and Eriks as well as ten grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband and three sons: Gunars, Arnolds and Juris. Private services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Interim Health Care and Hospice, 1901 North Union Boulevard #202, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
