Elyssa Miller
Elyssa Miller, age 24, a lifelong resident of the Colorado Springs area passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013 at her father’s home. She had been disabled from a long illness and had previously worked in Customer Service at Comcast.
Elyssa Yvonne Miller was born on May 25, 1988 in Colorado Springs to David and Etiennette (Stowe) Miller. She was a 2006 graduate of Peyton High School. She married Specialist Matthew T. Taylor, USA, on March 12, 2012 in Colorado Springs.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing in her earlier years, art, creating collages, sketching, music (she played the clarinet and flute), cooking and being around children.
Elyssa will be best remembered for her blunt honesty and her wonderful sense of humor.
She is survived by her husband: Matt who is stationed at Fort Carson; her father: David Miller of Colorado Springs; her mother: Lilette Miller of Austin, Texas; and her brother: Travis Miller of Austin. She is also survived by her grandmother: Linda Miller of Colorado Springs and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Elyssa was preceded in death by her grandparents: David and Lois Miller; and Lee and Elaine Stowe.
A visitation will be held from 1:00- 3:00 pm on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance North Chapel. Funeral Services will take place at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 22, 2013 at the Shrine’s North Chapel, 5440 N. Union Boulevard. Cremation is planned. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, 6520 North Andrews Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida 33309-2130.
She will be dearly missed.
