Emily Louise Hoffman, a lover and nurturer of all living things, passed away on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, 2024. She was born in El Paso, Texas and began her journey creating her beautiful family of 6 after she met her soulmate, Chris in San Diego, California 1990. Colorful Colorado soon became her permanent home – where the vibrance genuinely matched her personality.

Emily was born on November 27, 1972. Her parents Ray and Ysela Ellis gifted us all our biggest blessing that day. Ever since, she has poured her heart and soul into everything and everyone surrounding her. Emily had a passion for plants and animals, cooking for her family and friends, and spoiling Chris and her daughters with tender love and care. To say she’s changed the lives of many is an understatement.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Hoffman; 4 daughters: Ashley, Brittany, Christina, and Danielle; her brothers: Chris Ellis, and Ray Ellis; and her sister, Peggy Rogers.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Joyce Tena.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel.  Reception will start at 5:15pm at the Fiona, 400 E. Pikes Peak Ave. Inurnment will be private.
