Emory Freeman

Emory Freeman, 103, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018.

He was a resident of Colorado Springs since 1966 and received numerous medals for his leadership and dedication to serving in the United States military.

Emory was born on March 8, 1915 in Georgia. He was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved fishing and went on fishing trips every weekend. One of his favorite spots was Blue Mesa Reservoir.

He is survived by his adopted son, Frank; grandchildren: Talena Freeman, and Tanja Freeman; and great-grandchildren: Malik Hymes, Julian Hymes, Harley Thompson, Lily Waters, and Bellarose Mcdorman.

He was recently preceded in death by his loving wife, Ingeburg Freeman.

A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Burial will follow the funeral service at Evergreen Cemetery with full military honors.
