Enid Noel Kennis, a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2014. She was a retired church secretary.
Enid was born on December 25, 1933 in Colorado Springs to Sidney and Martha (Reidel) Stockbridge. She married Charles Oliver Kennis in 1950.
She loved reading, sewing, and gardening, and was an avid Colorado Rockies baseball fan. For many years she enjoyed her time spent as a Girl Scout Leader. She was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was part of their Jenny Lind Circle.
She is survived by her husband, Oliver; her daughter Kay (husband Curtis) Malouff; her son, Kenneth Kennis; four grandchildren: Ferris, Travis, Chuck, Cara; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles “Chuck” Kennis; her brother, Sydney; and her sister, Maxine.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Burial will be private at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
