Evelyn Wolfe, age 93 entered into our Eternal Kingdom on Monday, April 1, 2013. She passed peacefully in her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was a very kind and gentle soul, who had a loving and generous heart. She was always giving to others. She lived a long, wonderful life and was cherished by many.
Evelyn Virginia McDonald was born to March 18, 1920 in Baltimore, Maryland to James George & Mary Elizabeth McDonald. She married her beloved husband Clarence Wolfe on July 4, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland. They later moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where they raised their family and lived their lives.
She is survived by her children: Judith Shafer; McDonald “Mac” (Corina Garcia) Wolfe; and Janine (Ramon) Terlaje. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren: David (Cheri) Wolfe; Karen (Justin) Miller; Daniel Wolfe; James Allred; Michael Allred; Evelyn (Joel) Francis; Kevin Terlaje; Maranda (Gregory) Anetone; and Tiffany (Joseph) Smith. She has eleven great-grandchildren: Cody Collin, Cole, Ramon “RJ”, Justin, Jaiden, Isalei, Devin, Jordan, Vanessa, and Braylon.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her son: Barry Wolfe; her brother: Charles McDonald; and her sisters: Marjorie McDonald, Marie Crawford, and Erma Kraemer.
Evelyn devoted her life to her family. She was an avid reader and often volunteered to help further the education of others. Evelyn was a faithful member of Circle Drive Baptist Church and remained true to her faith even when her health was failing.
She will be missed dearly by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces, and close friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Private inurnment will be held at the Shine of Remembrance Chapel Mausoleum.
