Felisa D. Braden, a Colorado Springs resident since early 1980, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023. She retired from room service care in Fort Carson, Colorado.
Felisa was born on February 6, 1944, to Cristituto and Agripina Denoy in the Philippines, where she spent her childhood growing up on the farm in the mountains of Leyte, Philippines. She married the love of her life, SSGT James William Braden, a Vietnam Veteran with honors in Olongapo City, Philippines on October 13, 1969. Felisa enjoyed gardening, playing solitaire, going to bingo, and playing slots at Cripple Creek, but most of the time she watched her shows on The Filipino Channel (TFC).
She is survived by two sons, Fernando Marfori and David Braden; daughter, Clarissa Lloren; and grandkids: Devontay, Anastaja, Mackenzie, Matt, Jacob, Marilynn, Fernando Jr., Vinny, and Narby Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings.
A Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910. Interment will be at Pikes Peak National Cemetery.
