Frances A. Clas, age 93, a resident of Colorado Springs since May of 2011 and formerly of Naperville, Illinois and Georgetown, Texas passed away on July 12 at 3:50 AM in Colorado Springs. She was a retired accountant for the U.S. Treasury, a loving wife, step-mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Frances Agnes Pino was born on May 9, 1920 in Altamont, New York to the late Francis and Catherine (Negro) Pino. She was a 1939 graduate of Cathedral Academy High School in Albany, and later attended Russell Sage College in Troy, New York. She married William C. Clas on August 12, 1967 at the Church of St. Pius X in Loudonville, New York. William passed away in December of 2007.
She will be best remembered for her impeccable manners and delightful wit.
Frances is survived by her step children: Thomas A. (Lois) Clas, Daniel Clas, and Kathleen Clas. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, one great- granddaughter, and nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and four brothers: John, James, Michael, and Anthony, and her sister: Angela.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the Holy Apostles Catholic Church in Colorado Springs.
Interment is at the St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands, New York.
