Frederick “Fred” T. Walton, age 70, passed away on June 15, 2024. He was a resident of Westcliffe, Colorado for 2 years and was formerly a resident of Falcon, Colorado after moving to Colorado from Delaware in 1999. He was a shop foreman at the Falcon Walmart Tire & Lube before his retirement.
Fred enjoyed jeep racing and loved cooking and grilling for family and friends. He graduated from Newark High School in Newark, Delaware. He served 27 years in the Delaware Army National Guard following a long tradition in his family of military service and where he earned awards for his marksmanship skills.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pamela; and son, Nicholas Walton; his brother, Bruce Walton (Pat); beloved sisters-in-law, Rebecca Walton and Mary Walton; plus, many beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his memory to Sangre de Cristo Community Care Hospice, 1920 Valley Drive, Pueblo, Colorado 81008.
A celebration of life for friends and former co-workers will be on Saturday, June 22, 2024, between 1:00 – 3:30 PM at the Olympian Plaza Reception Center, 975 South Union Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Another celebration of life is being planned for family and friends in Delaware later this year.
