Garry Ashley passed away on February 19, 2019 at the age of 74. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for most of his life and a retired field service tech for Colorado Springs Utilities.
He was the son of Bradley and Lillian, attended Widefield High School and served in the United States Army.
Garry had a passion for building and creating things in his shop – what he called his favorite place, to include knives, woodworking, and dabbling in welding. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spent time teaching his kids how to fish, the importance of hard work and he made sure they knew how to stack a cord of wood perfectly.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann; their kids, Lynette, Jenette, and Kenny; his brother and sisters, Sherry, Terry and Mary Lou; and his 7 grand kids, Chance, Cole, Taylor, Dakota, Kayle, Harlen and Bryton.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
