My love of 27 years left on his own adventure into the LORD’S hands on August 20, 2014 after a long battle with cancer.
Gary Dean Mehrhoff, a native of Colorado Springs was born August 9, 1958. He was 56 years young. He graduated from Coronado High School in 1976, playing basketball on the A-Squad team. In 1980 Gary joined the Navy, honorably serving his country for 4 years. He attended PPCC earning his Associates of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. He opened his own agency L&M Investigations. When his interests changed, Gary was employed at King Soopers #130, enjoying the camaraderie with fellow employees.
Gary’s passions included fishing, ping pong, darts, playing pool, gardening and especially singing. He had a great sense of humor and he was the life of the party. Laughing along with Gary was a given, he never met a stranger.
Gary is survived by his wife Jaye (Neidigh) Mehrhoff, sisters Teri Baca and Tana Grapp (Rick), 15 nieces and nephews and 21 grandnieces and nephews.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Chuck and Ann.
The services will be held at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. on Tuesday, August 26th at 2 PM.
Memorials in Gary Mehrhoff’s name may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or online at www.woundedwariorproject.org.
