Gary Eugene Duran, age 65, passed away on January 2, 2022. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for over 50 years. Gary was born in Denver, Colorado, on December 17, 1956, to Bonifacio and Elizabeth (Romero) Duran. Gary was fond of configuring and racing remote-control cars and other vehicles, as well as restoring old cars and trucks. He liked searching for collectibles at pawn shops and antique stores around town. He also enjoyed being with veterans and listening to their fascinating stories. He loved animals; cats and dogs alike. He attended Monroe Elementary, Emerson Middle School, and graduated in 1975 from Mitchell High School. He is survived by his father Bonifacio Duran, his brother Gregory Duran (Teri Robnett), his nephews Justin Duran (Amanda), Kyle Duran and Micah Becker (Mike),and his niece Lauren Wachs (Robert) and family, as well as many friends and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his mother Elizabeth Duran. 21 Jan 2022We will miss Gary very much and cared for him and the family, our condolences go out to all his family and friends. He was my best friend since the 5th grade and my best man at my wedding. He will be greatly missed by my whole family.
