Gerald “Jerry” W. Gibson, 85 years old, passed away quietly after a long battle with cancer, on June 28, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was a resident of Colorado Springs for almost 50 years. Jerry was an engineer for General Electric for over 30 years, which took him to Turkey, Thailand, Philippines, and Bermuda. Jerry was born on June 20, 1932 to Gerald and Mildred (Tinker) Gibson in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He served in the US Air Force for 4 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Rita; his children: Ann, Jane (Dilsaver), Lisa (Mitchell), and Gerald; his sister, Gloria Lennon; his brother, Robert Gibson; his grandchildren: Ashley and Andrea Mitchell, and Lillian and Hunter Gibson. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Peter.
There will be a private family inurnment at Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs.
