Geraldine “Gerry” Saraceno, 76, of Colorado Springs, passed away on October 1, 2014 at a local hospital. Gerry was born on December 27, 1937 in Penrose, Colorado to the late Albert and Ruby (Wilson) Kelley. After graduating as class president from Torrance High School in California, Gerry attended El Camino Junior College and met the love of her life, Peter Saraceno. On January 28, 1961 the two were married and eventually moved back to Colorado.

Gerry worked as a real estate agent for several years in the Colorado Springs community. When she wasn’t working, you could find her hiking Garden of the Gods, supporting or coaching her children’s athletic events (she was their #1 fan!), tending to her roses and enjoying her Beagles. Gerry also enjoyed spoiling her granddaughters, taking guests to all of Colorado Springs’ tourist attractions and was a very talented artist. She spent many hours drawing and painting.

Gerry is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Peter; son, Michael (fiancé, Erin); daughter, Lisa and two granddaughters: Brittany and Alexandria. She is also survived by her brother, Jimmy Kelley.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
