Glenn Carey, 82, is spending the rest of eternity with Jesus, beginning November 11, 2016. Residing in Colorado Springs since 1968, he was involved in the aerospace industry as a long term manager of the GE Spacetrack Colorado Springs Analysis Office (CSAO) and in later years, the Spacetrack Program Manager.

Born on February 27, 1934 to Leon and Harriet Carey in Kingston, Pennsylvania. Glenn, married in 1960, is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Moncey Carey; son, Brent (with wife Cindy) Carey; daughter, Brenda (with husband Brad) Peterson; five grandchildren: Kyle, Connor, and Cayla Carey, and Alexandra and Colby Peterson; and his sister, Joanne Sott.

Fond of sports, Glenn played both high school and college football. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Wilkes University and a master’s degree in Operations Research in Engineering from Syracuse University. He was a member of Grace Bible Church in Colorado Springs for many years. Desiring to be an important part of his children’s lives and the community at large, he loved coaching both basketball and softball, was involved in Boy Scout leadership, and served on the District 11 School Board for 10 years, including a term as president.

A “Celebration of Life” service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Grace Bible Church/Eastside Church of Christ, 5905 Flintridge Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80918.
