Glennis L. Claus

Glennis Claus went home to the Lord on March 24, 2012.
Glennis was born December 6, 1930 in Osceola, Nebraska, and was the eldest of three children, born to George and Florence Ransom.
She moved to Colorado Springs when she was twelve years old and attended North Jr. and Colorado Springs High School. A year after graduation she married Frank F. Claus. After raising her two children, she was employed as an elementary school secretary in School District 11 for 23 years.
She loved and adored her family. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her home and family. She cherished spending time with those she loved.
Glennis is survived by her daughter Carolyn Claus, son Michael Claus (wife Barbara), grandchildren Eric Dziuban, Deirdre Dziuban, Emily Claus and great-grandson Austin Dziuban. She is also survived by her brother Paul Ransom and her aunt Darlene Jensen, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be missed by her dear friend Jeanne Witty and beloved dog and companion Katie. Glennis was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Frank F. Claus and sister, Donna Tanner.
She was a truly dedicated wife and mother, and she will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank Dr. Sayre and the caring staff at Rocky Mountain Cancer Center for their support during the past 22 years that she battled cancer, especially in the last eight years which were so difficult for her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in her honor 11:00 a.m. Thursday March 29, 2012 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 318 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80907. A private Entombment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum.
