Gordon H. Beezley, born November 2, 1948 to Grace Mae (Geer) Beezley and William Harvey Beezley passed away suddenly on July 18, 2020 in Aurora, Colorado. Gordon H. Beezley or “GB” went to high school in Lakewood, Colorado and graduated in 1967. He then attended college at Denver Community and graduated in 1995. Before relocating to Colorado Springs, Gordon was a resident of Evergreen, Colorado. The breathtaking mountain view and fresh mountain air won Gordon over and Colorado Springs became his home for 7 years. Gordon was an entrepreneur and horticulturist and was the superintendent of various golf courses before his passing. GB was fond of furniture making and woodworking and relished in fly fishing. You could also find him trying his hand at the slot machines in various casinos. He also enjoyed watching sports and favored various teams such as the Denver Broncos, Oregon Ducks, Colorado Rockies and the Colorado Avalanche.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn K. Beezley, daughters; Juli (RJ) Charter, Elise (Brian) Willette, Cammie (Darrin) Price, Kandace Stolte and Kelley (Ronald) Vail, grandchildren; Staci (James) DeHart, Dakota Smith, Jolynn Charter, Jesse Charter, Lea Willette, Chance Mohrenweiser, MaCall Kay Bowman, Lexington Rose Frodsham, Stetson William (Ashley) Mohrenweiser, Ronnie Vail and Garrett Vail, great-grandchildren; Kyli Dehart, Britlyn Bowman and Everly Sutton, brothers; William “Dewey” (Nancy) Beezley and Marvin (Raisa) Beezley and sister, Joyce (Dave) Nelson. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother; Wayne Beezley.
At this time there will not be any formal services for Gordon however at a later date a Celebration of Life reception will occur. A public visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at The Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. Gordon will be laid to rest at The Shrine of Remembrance, Garden of Angels Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Gordon’s memory to Denver Children’s Hospital.
