Grace D. Paul, age 98, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1973 and formerly of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on May 23, 2013 at the Village at Skyline. She was a registered nurse, homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Grace Delores Martinson was born the fifth of six children to George and Helma Martinson on May 21, 1915 in Delamere, North Dakota. She graduated from Hampden High School in Hampden, North Dakota in May of 1933. She graduated Nurses Training from the Good Samaritan Hospital in Rugby, North Dakota in September of 1937. She married Ralph E. Paul on September 14, 1941 in Derrick, North Dakota.
She enjoyed square dancing, camping, entertaining, and was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosalyn Kirkpatrick of Colorado Springs; her granddaughter: Michelle Sanner of Colorado Springs; four great-grandchildren: Jacob, Jessica, Jordan, and Jarran; and a great-great-granddaughter: Sienna. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, in 1995; three brothers: Hardus, Marlow, and Robert Martinson; and two sisters: Hazel Stutrud and Faye Jung.
Memorial Services are planned for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2505 North Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909. Private entombment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven.

Grace will be best remembered for her unconditional and continuing love and support of family.
