Grace Givan
Grace Givan passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017. She was a resident of Parker, Colorado since 1985 and was formerly a resident of Sunnyvale, California and Littleton, Colorado.
Grace was born on November 13, 1939 to Karl Bernard Diefenbach and Helen Elizabeth (Campbell) Diefenbach in Honolulu, Hawaii.
She attended San Francisco State University and Knapp College of Nursing in Santa Barbara, California, becoming a Registered Nurse. She married David Allen Givan on September 28, 1963 at the First Baptist Church in San Francisco.
She enjoyed gardening and flowers, crocheting, knitting, travelling, hiking and being outdoors. She also enjoyed being involved in church activities and attending live music performances. But most of all, she loved spending time with family.
She is survived by her husband, David; her children: Eric Givan (wife RoseMary), and Elizabeth Thompson; her sister, Jane Cambouris (husband Peter); 4 grandchildren: Daniel Thompson, Stacy Jarman (husband Cory), Amanda Givan, and Bryanna Thompson; and 3 great-grandchildren: Logan Jarman, Mason Jarman, and Kaiden Jarman. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Slechta (and her husband Al).
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Canyons Community Church, 4825 N. Crowfoot Valley Rd., Castle Rock, CO 80108. A reception will follow the services at the church. Private burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
