Billy Elwood Edwards, age 94, of Beavercreek, Ohio, formerly of Colorado Springs, passed away Monday, February 22, 2021 at Harbor Chase of Beavercreek. He was born February 16, 1927 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to the late Dr. Kenneth and Marguerite Edwards.

Billy proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corps. He retired from Mountain Bell as a telephone engineer. He was a lifetime member of various clubs including: the Eastern Star – Centennial Chapter, the Masonic El Paso Lodge 13, the Elks in Cripple Creek, Colorado, the High Twelve International, the Al Kaly Shrine, a Scottish Rite of the 33rd Degree and the Antioch Shrine. He was a devout Christian who attended Pikes Peak United Methodist Church. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Harriet Jean Edwards; brother, Dr. Kenneth (Helen) Edwards Jr.; sister-in-law, Barbara (Bill) Brandenburg; niece, Margaret Ann Edwards; nephew, Kent Brandenburg; son-in-law, Tim Valerio and granddaughter-in-law, Emily Valerio.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Norma (Kevin Little) Valerio; grandchildren, Aysha (Douglas) Osten and Chad Valerio; great-grandchildren, Mason Osten, Carson Osten and Alexis Valerio; nieces, Kay Brandenburg and Cindy Brandenburg and nephew, James Edwards. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in his honor. 

A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. with a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. on June 24, 2021 for Billy and his wife at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.

H. Jean Edwards, age 88, of Beavercreek, Ohio, formerly of Colorado Springs, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016. She was born April 17, 1928 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the daughter of the late Harry and Alice Pritts.

Jean was retired from School District #11 and a member of the Pikes Peak United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Centennial Chapter and active member of the Daughters of the Nile and the Shrine Club. 

Jean is survived by her loving husband, Billy; daughter, Norma Valerio; grandchildren, Aysha (Doug) Osten and Chad (Emily) Valerio; great-grandchildren, Mason Osten, Carson Osten and Alexis Valerio.
