Hedy Hopper peacefully passed on August 31st, 2019 at the age of 96. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Elvin Eugene Hopper.
Born in Iserlohn, Germany, Hedy came to America in 1952 and became a United States citizen in 1954. From then on, she referred to herself as a proud American. She was actively involved in supporting her husband as a military wife throughout his 31-year career in the Army.
Hedy spoke three languages, was an excellent artist and seamstress, and an avid reader. She enjoyed several hobbies and touched so many people’s lives. She will be missed.
A Cryptside Service will be held 11a.m. Friday, September 6, 2019 at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd.
