Helen (Miller) Case-Baumgardner, age 87, was welcomed into heaven on January 15, 2024. She was a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs. She worked at the USAFA as a Chief Civilian Trainer until retirement.
Helen was born on October 31, 1936, to the late Tommy and Ruth (Dorn) Miller in Colorado Springs. She was married to the late Wayne Case in April 1972 and married Gordon Baumgardner June 2016.
Helen loved singing hymns and had the voice of an angel. She also loved to cook, read, and sew. She also taught Sunday School when her daughter was young and would fill her Volkswagen Bug with neighborhood children. Helen graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1954.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon; her children: Lori (Duane) Brown, Viki (Mike) Robinson, Steve (Linda) Case; her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Case; and Gordon’s children: Patty, Vicky, and Cindy. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and her cousin, Lois Herbaugh.
Her parents, Tommy and Ruth Miller; her brother, Larry Duane Miller; her daughter, Robin Baucom; her son, Jack Case; and her husband, Wayne Case preceded her in death.
