Helen Remington, 89, of Colorado Springs, passed away
November 29, 2013 at a local hospital. Helen was born
December 5, 1923 in Manhattan, New York.
She worked as a legal secretary for many years for the City
Attorney of Colorado Springs before retiring in 1987. Helen was
married for 38 years to Louis Engleman who died in 1986. In
1987 she married Jack Remington. They were married for 6
years until his passing.
In her spare time, Helen enjoyed knitting, reading, and staying
active with her church. She also enjoyed animals, especially
her dogs: Kubla, Max and Andy.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Arlene (David) Bowman;
son, Ivan (Angela); grandchildren: Tami (Joel), Joseph
(Amy) Engleman, Jason Engleman and Melissa Engleman; and
six great grandchildren: Ivy Engleman, Adam and Kyla
Engleman, Zak, Shoshannah and Taliah. She is
preceded in death by her beloved husbands: Louis Engleman
and Jack Remington; as well as her son, Paul Engleman.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1420 Acacia Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the ASPCA at www.aspca.org.
