Helga Elisabeth Thomas, 83, passed away on 10 December 2023. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 61 years and was formerly a resident of Wurzburg, Germany. She was a school crossing guard.
Helga was born on 28 March 1940 to Anna Maria (Fischer) in Wurzburg, Germany.
On 8 September 1961 she married Clifford B. Thomas in Wurzburg, Germany.
Helga was fond of doing yard work. She also enjoyed watching anything NCIS, rooting for the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins, loved watching her neighbor’s dogs, and had a fondness for taking long walks around her neighborhood.
She is survived by her son, Michael Thomas of Palmer, Alaska, and a grandson and great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Thomas.
A memorial service will be held at 1000 hours on 20 December 2023 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.

20 Dec 2023I am sorry for your loss of your mother. Helga was always kind and concerned for her neighbors. Our family has lived in the neighborhood since 1963 and we have many fond memories of her.
