Henry “Hank” Brownell, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, died April 20, 2016, in Colorado Springs, at the age of 88.

Hank was born on September 11, 1927, in Longdale, Oklahoma, to parents Edith and Albert Henry Brownell.

He was the owner of Eastgate Vacuum in Grand Junction, Colorado, and Colorado Springs, for 25 years, and was a member of the Optimist Club in Grand Junction. Before retirement, he worked for 7 years at Sam’s Club in Colorado Springs.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joan; daughters Linda (Dean) Skaret, Glenda (Jay) Kouba, and Sherri Hice; 4 grandchildren: Brian Skaret, Jamie Hodges, Melanie Osterloh, Tiffany Hice. Jonathan Hice, deceased; 8 great-grandchildren: Greg Hodges, Wiley Skaret, Madison Hodges, Malia Skaret, Jackson Hodges, Noah Osterloh, Ariana Osterloh, and Ohlsson Skaret; a sister, Bertie Countryman; and a brother, Lester C. Brownell.

Visitation will be from 1:00-1:40 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. all at Vista Grande Baptist Church, 5680 Stetson Hills Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80917. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.
