Henry J. Vialpando, Jr., age 49, a Colorado Springs resident since 1966, passed away unexpectedly on November 17, 2013 at a local hospital. He had been a baker at the Broadmoor Hotel for 26 years.
Henry James Vialpando, Jr., was born on June 14, 1964 in Alamosa, Colorado to Henry J. and Eralia (Martinez) Vialpando. He was a 1984 graduate of Harrison High School. He loved fishing, sports, playing pool, baking and the mountains of Colorado. He will be best remembered for being one of the area’s number one Oakland Raider football fans.
He is survived by his parents, his sister: Marilyn (Rick) Blair of Colorado Springs, his niece: Raquel Laster, two nephews: Ricky Blair, Jr. and David Blair, and a great-nephew: Ricky Duane Blair III.
A rosary will be said at 10:30 am on Wednesday, November 20, at St. Joseph Catholic church, 1830 South Corona, Colorado Springs. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am. A luncheon reception will then take place in the Fellowship Hall of the Church.
